Vision:

Facility:

At present, it enjoy a total of 1140 students and 92 teaching staff.

It covers an area of 14665 square metres, including a five-storey main buliding of western style and two additional ones with a capacity of 40 classrooms. It has a total green coverage of 3694 square metres. The space for sports covers 5811 square metres, including a 200-metre plastic cement track, a gym for table tennis, etc.

It is well-equipped with Computer rooms, Activity Room for English learning, Reading Room, Dancing Room, Music Room, Handcraft Room, Labs, Drawing Room, etc. The school library is ranked as an advanced one at the municipal level, which is divided into Book Section and Computer Section. Students may choose to read books or get information from the Internet in this comfortable and relaxing environment.

The first-class teaching facilities, advanced teaching technologies and approaches and delicate campus ensure the promoting of quality education.

Activity:

In accordance with the school vision, every student’s personality, individuality, interests or hobbies need to be respected. There are a variety of activities from which the students may benefit, such as sports teams, Chinese drum team, Orchestra and so on. A competition called “Everyone is possible to be the winner” is being held among the students so that each student can enjoy the success and set up confidence.

Science & technology education of environmental protection is one of the school features. Special school-based curriculum is made and a different variety of activities are bing organized for the students, including the team of environmental protection, money donation, animal adopting, three-day camping, etc.

As a school with advanced sports programme, the sports team has won many games, on behalf of Xuhui District.

Various factors have helped make the school so distinguished and prestigious among its counterparts. Through moral education, vivid classroom teaching and diverse out-of-class activities, an interested-oriented learning and teaching style has been approached, accelerating students’ interest and thus overall development, from which students have benefited not only in knowledge learning but also in building up positive values and personality.

Faculty:

Efforts are made to help the teachers get developed in their professions. Teachers are encouraged to take further courses in learning. The school tries to pave the way, for instance, experienced teachers or educators are invited outside to give lectures.  What's more, variety of contests and competitions in teaching skills are organized by the school to encourage the teachers to take part in. Meanwhile, the research and practice in training the teaching abilities of primary-school teachers are bing carried out.

Achievements:

The backbone teachers or even someyoung teachers begin to show their telant fully through the competitions. For example, two teachers won the prize of Xuhui Competition and then they both won the district Horse Prize. An art teacher, won the second prize of Shanghai Competition in Fine Arts Teaching, and a music teacher, won the first prize of Xuhui Competition in Music Teacher's Personal Techniques. There are another 11 teachers who got the prizes of competitions in eight different subjects at district level.
